One hour, one fixed street. The panoramic camera loops and sprawls across the long street, presenting a distorted and unfamiliar landscape that is created over the course of an hour as it moves and shakes. Buildings and lanes are re-cut, blocked and lengthened by the photographers walking and watching, and the images of everyday life are filled with a sense of unease brought on by alienation. The random and unpredictable shifts and multiple groupings of contours overlap, and the linear space and long lines of images that were originally shown at a fixed time are viewed and re-examined with an even longer sense of time.
