"The Enduring Stream," a new solo exhibition by young artist Liu Enxi in the "Non-Space Unit." Through 11 representative groups of performance videos and photographic works, the exhibition showcases her poetic exploration of life's journey.
"The river will tell you everything; you only need to learn to listen." It just flows, carving scriptures on pebbles, burying the moon in sandbars, weaving the reflections of all things and the Sanskrit sound of Buddha into the same flowing satin.
Like the river Siddhartha encountered during his enlightenment on the ferry, it embraces life and death, witnessing reincarnation. Artist Liu Enxi immerses her body into the scale of the tides, weaving the rhythm of existence with her works; time flows constantly, revealing enduring waves through the intersection of memory, body, and nature. When the sound of past and future waves becomes indistinguishable to the ear, eternity rises from the fingertips. There is no linear torrent here, only the long breath of memory and forgetting imprinting each other in a cycle.
Whether it is Sisyphean repetitive labor or trekking along the vanishing waterline, the presence of the body and the repetition of actions constitute a poetic gesture against the linear flow of time. When the flickering candlelight intertwles with Platonic cave echoes, the boundary between the body and the tide gradually dissolves, until the wooden boats, sealed and transferred between sand and plastic film, repeatedly imprint the traces of time, solidifying the flowing process into a staggered visual archive.
Liu Enxi's work originates from sensory experiences slowly precipitated from personal life. Using the body as a container of perception and a measure of time, she poetically explores the profound connections between existence, traces, and cycles. This solo exhibition presents 11 representative groups of the artist's recent creations, covering various media such as performance video, live performance, moving images, and photography. These works intertwine, jointly constructing an introspective space about time, memory, and existence.
With "The Enduring Stream" as a guide, the exhibition invites viewers to step into the life field of recurring cycles and flowing manifestations within the folds of time. As the folds of memory slowly unfold in time and space, as the foam quietly recedes, the individual and the collective, material and consciousness merge in the flow. Perhaps we can glimpse: time is not a linear arrow, but an eternal tide. In this journey of life, each of us will transform into an enduring stream, eventually flowing into the clear realm of existence itself.

The Testimony of Sand
Live Performance
When language is given weight,
When time can be piled up.
We will hear a declaration from an ancient collective, about slowness and maintenance.
We will witness a body, with the faintest breath and the most repetitive action,
attest to a happening that is both fleeting and eternal.
Please be silent. Please listen.
A testimony of existence.
